What happens at night?
Solar panels do not generate electricity from sunlight at night. Your home will use stored battery electricity if available and configured to do so, then draw electricity from the grid as required.
Does solar work in winter?
Yes. Solar PV works from daylight, so it still generates in winter and on cloudy days. Generation is typically lower during shorter, darker winter days than during brighter summer months.
